Desi Johnson is a talented writer and comic recognized by top performers and comedy show promoters. With requests to perform at various venues each week including: Caroline's Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, San Francisco's famous Purple Onion, Philadelphia Laugh House and colleges across the tri-state.
He has shared the stage with renowned comedians such as Donnell Rawlings (Dave Chappelle Show), Kyle Grooms, Capone, Talent, Tony Roberts, Michael Blackson, Mike Epps, Cory Fernandez, Smoke Suarez, Brooklyn Mike, Mike Yard, Tony Woods, David Alan Grier, Marshall Brandon, Sam Jay, Tommy Davidson, Jordan Rock, Leonard Ouzts, Derek Gaines and others.
Desi has also taken his talents off the stage with writing contributions to the "Clint Coley I'm Grown" comedy album available on iTunes and with his work as Creative Consultant for Russell Simmons website, Global Grind. He is now a cast member of the hit Global Grind Network show, Socially Decoded, Made appearances on All Def digital series, and Wrote a few (Dad jokes) for all Def digital as well. Contributed to 2 Netflix stand-up specials as well.
Desi continues to create new material to enhance his craft. Through motivation and a love for comedy this rising talent is sure to be around for the long run.
Desi is currently on Tour with Renny (from MTV’s Wildin' Out) Also features for Isiah Kelly (From Who’s got jokes, Bet Comic View, Don’t tell comedy, Netflix) And has a Reoccurring role on the Epicurious cooking show (4Levels chef).
